Students - What your application statuses mean

Every application you send moves through a small set of statuses you can follow on "Activity → Applications".

The statuses

• Applied — your application has been sent to the employer.
• Under Review — the employer is looking at it. This covers both the initial review and a phone screen.
• Interview — you have been invited to interview.
• Hired — the employer has hired you.
• Unsuccessful — the employer chose someone else.
• Withdrawn — you withdrew your application.

Why a status can lag

When an employer declines an application, the rejection email is sent 24 hours later. That window exists so the employer can change their mind, so your status can briefly still show "Under Review" after they acted.

Where to look

Your latest statuses live on "Activity → Applications". Before you have applied for anything it reads "You haven't applied for any jobs yet."

"Activity → Employer interest" lists employers who marked you "Interested" or "Shortlisted", together with any message they sent. Its empty state is "No employers have expressed interest yet."

Withdrawing

You can withdraw an application while it is Applied, Under Review or Interview. RooKi warns that the employer will be notified and that the change can't be undone, so withdraw only when you are sure.
