Students - Save and apply for jobs

RooKi shows you every live job, lets you save the ones you like, and applies you with a short cover letter.

Find jobs

Use the search box plus the filters for career category and employment type — Full time, Part time, Casual, Apprenticeship and Traineeship. If nothing matches, the feed shows "No jobs match your profile right now."

Save a job

Saving puts a job on "Jobs → Saved" (described as "Jobs you've bookmarked"). An empty list reads "You haven't saved any jobs yet." Saving a job earns 15 XP, and viewing your first open job listing earns 5.

Apply

Open a job and choose Apply. A cover-letter box opens — up to 2000 characters — and a second click submits. On success you will see "Application submitted!". Applying twice to the same job returns "application already submitted".

You need your basics first: first name, last name, city, state, postcode, bio and photo. Without them, applying returns "complete your basic profile information before applying". Enquiring about training uses the same requirement, with "complete your basic profile information before enquiring".

What the employer receives

No document is attached by the application itself. Employers see your profile and whichever resume version you have marked current, so keep that version up to date.

Withdrawing

You can withdraw while an application is Applied, Under Review or Interview. RooKi asks you to confirm that the employer will be notified and that the change can't be undone.

Still stuck?

Open the chat bubble with the job title, the exact message you saw, and whether you are on a phone or a computer.
