Employers - Getting started

Setting up your employer account takes a few short steps, and you can create it for free before you pay for anything.

Create your account

Sign up with your work email. Employer accounts belong to a work organisation tied to your work email domain, and free email providers are rejected with "Use your work email". If your domain is already claimed you will see "Your organisation already exists on RooKi" — ask your team admin to send you an invitation.

Work through onboarding

The steps are Business details, Employer brand, ABN verification, Choose plan, Account created and Post first role. Business details ask for your trading or legal business name, industry, suburb, postcode and state. The employer brand step is optional, so you can choose "Skip for now" and come back to it later.

Verify your ABN

Your ABN is checked against the Australian Business Register. If something is wrong you will see "Enter an 11-digit Australian Business Number.", "ABN not found. Check the number and try again." or "ABN lookup failed." You need a verified ABN before you can publish: "verify your business (ABN) before publishing a listing".

Choose a plan

Plan selection at onboarding is optional — "No payment now. Your account is created for free. Payment is only requested when you publish your first listing." You can compare plans and prices in Plans, listing payments and billing.

Signing in

Sign-in is separated by audience, so choose Employer on the sign-in screen. Your account type is set on first sign-in and cannot be changed by you; if you picked the wrong one, contact support through the chat bubble. Account and privacy matters can also go to hello@rooki.au.

Still stuck?

Open the chat bubble in the app and tell us which step stopped you, the exact message you saw, and whether you are on a phone or computer.
